We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding and fabrication techniques, ensuring the structural integrity of various metal components.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications to weld metal components
- Utilize welding equipment to cut, weld, and assemble metal structures
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet codes and standards
- Operate tools such as calipers, press brake machines, and pipe threading equipment
- Conduct repairs on metal structures as needed
-Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with welding equipment
Skills:
- Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of codes and standards related to welding practices
- Experience with assembling metal components accurately
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintenance of welding tools
- Familiarity with press brake machines for bending metal sheets
- Knowledge of pipe threading processes for plumbing applications
- Must be able to obtain DBIDS - naval base access
